Movie shows an eventful life of Modigliani, his loves, art and his artistic battle with Picasso.

The Magic Paintbrush it's a famous  story, written by an English writer and lecturer living in Denmark -Edward Broadbridge.

It's a chinesse folktale about young man Ma Lang, who dreamed to have a magic paint-brush, which make all painted things come into being. This was he helps the poor, the thirsty and the needy. One day a rich man steals his paint-brush and Ma Lang is taken into prison. The man wants to paint gold and silver, but the paint-brush doesn't work. Finally he forces Ma Lang to paint for him.

Basing on the book was made a cartoon and also a choir piece of John Hoybye:
